This medication is an investigational injection created by American pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly. The drug targets three gut hormones – glucagon-like peptide-1, glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide and glucagon. Early trials indicate it could assist individuals reduce up to a quarter of their body weight. Nicknamed the “triple G”, the drug is being promoted online as the next Ozempic.
